What a weekend of football we’ve seen!!! Manchester United winning the Premiership, Manchester City winning the FA Cup, West Ham being relegated from the Premiership and up here in Scotland, Rangers winning the league at the 11th hour – a good start for Ali McCoist for his first season as Manager next season.

But what about the low-lights? With Paul Hartley retiring from football (and I have to say not before time as he’s been practically invisible throughout this season), Aberdeen have failed to renew Derek Young’s contract. Surely if Craig Brown wants to rebuild the side after 2 dismal seasons, old heads and work horses like Derek are invaluable. There is a Facebook group dedicated to keeping Derek at Aberdeen and I would urge as many people as possible to “like” the page in the hope that the Board might take notice.
